I’m an Australian writer. Not to be confused with Wendy ‘the Knife Coach’ Lewis, aesthetics consultant from New York; Wendy Lewis from Blackpool, considered by some to be the ‘most disgusting woman’ in Britain or Wendy Lewis aka Mrs Texas 1994.
I write adult non-fiction specialising in history, biography and crime. At the moment I’m researching a book about interpreters working in the Australian legal system, creating a TV comedy pilot and finalising a collection of short stories Please forgive us, Richard Hauptmann, release date March 2020.
I also write for theatre with a focus on black comedy and the surreal. Recent productions include The Devil’s Caress, Star of the Sea Manly; and Do Not Touch, Director’s Cut Micro Theatre Newcastle. I’m currently writing libretto for Lost in Translation [working title] and my new musical Defeating Roger Federer will storm into Sydney in early 2020.
