A colourful family musical…
SUN: So your quest will take you a little more time
LOUIE: And you really should see magenta and lime
HUE: More colours? More colours?
LOUIE: Say have you heard of aubergine?
HUE: More colours? More colours? But what do you mean?

I wrote the book and libretto for this production. It premiered in the USA in October 2016. It’s about a boy called Hue who lives in a land of no colour called Tonetown. He is sent off on a magical quest to find his colour and bring colour back to town. It’s almost an opera: lots and lots of wonderful singing. And it has a fabulous score by Berlin-based composer Yuval Halpern with musical styles ranging from motown to blues and everything in between. Positive message, lots of laughs, perfect for large-scale school productions.
